Sports hall has a capacity of approximately 2000 spectators, dimensions 53 x 43 m and a total gross area of approximately 8,438.24 m2. The building is designed with modern materials and equipment, taking care of fitting into the built and natural space of the settlement. The context was taken into account, the proximity of the Old Town of Kotor and the sea, so the main motive of the building is unpretentiousness, ie achieving architectural neutrality. A long line of vertical brisoles makes an envelope that twists in front of the eyes and gives a feeling of freshness and vibrancy.
The dimensions of the building are 53×43 m, with a total gross area of approximately 8,438.24 m2, with a maximum building height of 12.90 m above ground level.
The building is conceived as a simple, volumetric amorphous, in accordance with functional and aesthetic requirements, while the interior space develops as flexible and fluid. A transparent, flowing public space is formed that visually expands to the outside, which is separated from the outside space by a glass envelope. Above this space, the central body of the building is dominated by rounded edges, which gives the building visual liquidity, a dynamic that provides the building with the necessary visual lightness, further enhanced by facade cladding that is semi-transparent in several white layers. The current needs of a modern facility intended for sports and public events are provided through harmonized levels of basements, ground floor halls, grandstands and the front of three floors where in addition to the basic spaces that accompany a modern sports facility are provided spaces for sports clubs Kotor, VIP lounges, restaurant and business and rental premises.
The space of the hall contains fixed grandstands on longitudinal sides, with a capacity of about 2000 spectators with the possibility of increasing the capacity by using telescopic grandstands, while on the sides there are telescopic grandstands with a capacity of about 300 spectators.
In the basement there are locker rooms, toilets, smaller halls for martial arts training, equipment rooms, sports medicine rooms, doping test room, fitness room, sauna, gym, rooms for judges and delegates, media rooms, technical rooms, toilets , communications with corridors, stairs and elevators. The main entrance is connected to a larger hall where there are various facilities (bar, kiosks, showcases, warehouses, etc.), stairs, elevators and communications for the stands.
On the first floor are the director’s office, the secretary’s office, the office for special guests, the VIP lounge, the VIP gallery, the coffee bar and the sanitary block.
On the second and third floor, there are additional offices for the Administration of the hall and business premises for rent, a cafe, a meeting room, toilets and communications with corridors, a staircase and elevators. On the north side, at the level of the upper grandstands, there is space for a TV camera, boxes for radio and TV reporters, toilets and separate communications (staircase and elevator).
The construction of the building is a reinforced concrete skeletal system with a steel lattice roof structure in the shape of six roofs with a sloping light plane. The dominant structure on the rest of the building is a reinforced concrete beam and a cross-reinforced coffered ceiling.
